About Expat Fair Amsterdam
The I am not a Tourist Expat Fair Amsterdam is the biggest event for internationals living, working, studying or setting up business in the Netherlands. The Expat Fair is about information, orientation and business networking with over 125 exhibitors, more than 3,500 visitors and free presentations and workshops.

Themes Jobs, Houses and Education for Expats extra highlighted
The Employment theme will be extra highlighted as 'Jobs for Expats'. at the fair The theme is designed for visitors who are pursuing an international career in the Netherlands. Only stands with the "Jobs for Expats" signage offer multilingual vacancies.
There will be experts ready to answer your career-related questions and exhibitors ready to help with your recruitment queries. The Housing theme is highlighted as 'Houses for Expats'. There are many homes in the Netherlands available for expats looking to buy or rent. Getting an understanding of tenants’ rights and property law is a must. At the fair you will find among others real estate agents, short stay residences, mortgage advisers, and notaries to help you find answers to your questions regarding housing in the Netherlands.
You can recognize the stands offering houses to rent, buy or short stay to the Houses for Expats signage above their stand and at the floorplan.
Housing for Expats exhibitors Houses to buy/rent
The Netherlands is committed to choice in Dutch education and expats find a huge range of schools and universities in the Netherlands to consider when enrolling their child into the Dutch education system, including numerous international schools of which some are also subsidised. The Dutch school system, however, is quite unique and the choice can be confusing for internationals. During the Expat Fair Eindhoven expats can meet several schools and universities follow presentations to help them to understand the Netherlands education system. So they can make their choice from the multitude of schools to enrol their child into the Netherlands school system.
Programme
The programme of the day includes more than 40 free presentations, entertainment and workshops by specialists, hands-on experts and expats. All arranged about the themes Housing, Transport, Setting up home, Finance, Healthcare, Relocation, Employment, Families, Education and Groups & Clubs.
NOTE: You have to register for the presentations seperately. Before the fair you will receive a personal link to register for the presentations.
A room already fully booked? Do not worry, if people do not show up it is still possible that you can enter the presentation.
Childcare
For families with children, the Expat Fair has a dedicated kids’ area managed by childcare professionals, Hestia Kinderopvang.
Parking
The Beurs van Berlage is best to be reach by public transport, but if you would like to come by care there are a number of large multi-storey car parks in the immediate vicinity of the Beurs van Berlage:
- De Bijenkorf multi-storey; 400 spaces (right next to the Beurs van Berlage) Parkeergarage De Bijenkorf – Q Park
- P1 Central Station multi-storey; 465 spaces (5-minute walk) Parkeergarage Centraal Station – P1
- Nieuwezijds Kolk multi-storey; 400 spaces (5-minute walk) Parkeergarage Nieuwezijds Kolk
- Oosterdok multi-storey; 250 spaces (10-minute walk) Oosterdok Parking
Unfortunately the Beurs van Berlage does not have special disabled parking spaces. We suggest using the Bijenkorf multi-storey car park located right next to the Beurs van Berlage.
Public transport
Take a train, tram or bus to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal Station, follow the signs to the ‘Centrum’ exit and walk towards Dam square. The Beurs is on your left about halfway between the station and Dam Square.

Dogs
Dogs are not allowed at the Expat Fair, except guide dogs and other assistance dogs.
